Terms of use
Last updated 6 August 2026
1. These terms
These terms form a binding agreement between you and Funding Radar, a funding discovery platform operated from Southland, Aotearoa New Zealand. By creating an account or using the platform you accept these terms. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to do so.
2. The service
Funding Radar aggregates grants, funding and sponsorship opportunities from publicly available funder sources, and provides search, saved funding, alerts, dashboards, a funding advisor and an application assistant.
Listings are gathered automatically and shown with their source link and last verified date. We take care to keep listings accurate, but funders change criteria, amounts and deadlines without notice. You must confirm all details, eligibility and closing dates directly with the funder before applying.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Accounts are for you or your organisation and must not be shared with unrelated parties or resold.
4. Acceptable use
You must not scrape, bulk-export, resell or redistribute our funding data; attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication or security controls; upload unlawful, misleading or harmful content; interfere with the platform's operation; or use the platform to send spam.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or place unreasonable load on the platform.
5. Subscriptions and billing
Free accounts include search, saved funding and limited use of the funding tools. Paid plans unlock higher usage limits and additional features, and are billed in advance in New Zealand dollars. Prices shown include GST where applicable.
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then.
Upgrades take effect immediately and are charged on a pro-rata basis. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
If a payment fails we may retry it and will notify you. Continued failure may result in your account reverting to the free plan.
Except where the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other law requires otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable.
6. Automated guidance
The funding advisor, application assistant and generated summaries produce guidance, not professional advice. Output can be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing, verifying and editing anything you submit to a funder, and for the accuracy of your applications.
7. Intellectual property
We own the platform, its software, design and compiled data. You keep ownership of the content you enter, and you grant us a limited licence to store and process it to provide the service.
Funder names, logos and listing text remain the property of the respective funders and are shown for identification and discovery purposes.
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, change features, or discontinue parts of the platform. Where changes materially reduce a paid plan's value, we will give reasonable notice.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 where they apply. If you use the platform for business purposes, you agree those Acts do not apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost funding, lost revenue or lost opportunity, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period.
We are not responsible for funders' decisions, criteria, processes or the outcome of any application.
10. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment, or where required by law. On termination your right to use the platform ends; our data handling on closure is set out in the privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform develops. Material changes will be notified by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Please contact us first — most issues are resolved quickly.
