About this funding
Annual funding round Sunrise Foundation runs one contestable grant round per year, where we are honoured to make modest grants to charitable projects in accordance with the wishes of our donors. Our annual funding round includes applications for: Sunrise Foundation annual funding round Tindall Foundation funding for Tairāwhiti-Gisborne Successful applicants for this year's funding round will be notified on 9 September, 2026 and grants distributed on 18 September, 2026. Grants Distribution Process Application Applications for our annual funding found open early June and close mid-July each year. Review Applications are reviewed based on our funding criteria and the availability of donor funds allocated to your particular cause. Distribution Funds are distributed to successful community organisations in late October each year. Accountability Organisations which receive funding are required to attend an informal round table session to share how you used your grant and other feedback.
